Picnic and Day Visiting

Welcome to our park! You can visit us any day of the year without a reservation, as we’re open from 06:00 to 18:00. Enjoy a picnic by one of our beautiful dams or under the trees at the designated Picnic Area. Each spot comes with a built braai with grid for your convenience. If you’re interested in using a vacant camp stand for the day, feel free! However, please note that any stands marked with a “RESERVED” sign are unavailable for day use as they’ve been reserved for campers.

Planning a group outing?

Planning a group outing? Make a reservation ahead of time to visit for the day, whether it’s for a children’s party, family reunion, team building, church group, etc. A stand or stands will be allocated and reserved for you. The charge for the stand(s) will be included in the quotation. Keep in mind that payment must be made in advance to secure the reservation.

Group reservations for Day Visitors have the option to pre-book the tent or caravan for their visit, ensuring availability and convenience. Additionally, regular day visitors can inquire about renting the tent or caravan, subject to availability.

Amenities Available at Our Ablution Block
Our ablution block is equipped with fresh borehole water, flush toilets, hot showers, and bathroom and dishwashing facilities. Conveniently located within walking distance from the dams.

Swimming Options
  • Above ground swimming pools for children from toddlers to teens.
  • The Speeldam offers a variety of activities for all ages, including rowing boats, a 12-meter slide, and 5-meter high swings over the water. Come play all day!

    • We have food packets available for purchase at the Reception to feed the animals.
    • Meet our lovable Donkey family – Donkey, Mary and Willemien – who enjoy being fed and receiving affectionate rubs and kisses.
    • Our mischievous Boerbokke can’t get enough to eat.
    Visit the Reception for All Your Shopping Needs

    Make the most of your stay by stopping by our Reception area for any last-minute shopping needs. We offer the following items for rent or purchase:

    • Fishing rods, scoop nets, tables, and chairs
    • Fish baits and tackle
    • Snacks, cold drinks, sweets, and chips
    • Braai necessities
    • Ice
    • Basic necessities for items you may have forgotten at home
    • Toys and more
    Pet-Friendly Guidelines

    We welcome dogs on the premises, but to ensure everyone’s safety, please keep your furry friend on a leash at all times. Please keep your dog away from the donkeys and do not allow them to chase our rabbits, chickens, and geese. As a pet owner, you are responsible for the safety of your pet and other guests on the property.
